Hello, Divine Being, how are you today? How was your week? As you may have suspected, we are going to dive into patience, a word that we are all too familiar with. What does it mean for you and your daily life? How does it show up or affect how you show up?

The word of the week for me was patience. In the midst of everything happening, I was being told to wait as everything worked themselves out. Imagine being patient when you have a deadline, or when others rely on you. What about being patient when all you’ve gotten was disappointment and heartbreak? Or being told to be patient when nothing seems to be working out.

Can you imagine the insanity that bubbles within when having to do such a thing?

I’m sure you can.

Lessons from Patience

That is where I found myself this week. I was waiting for everything to work out and for the hard work, I’ve been putting in to pay off. I was waiting for my long-awaited miracle to happen. As I got into hustle mode and waited for the results to show, I found myself meditating on it. I realized a few things:

  • When we’re asked to be patient, sometimes there is nothing else to do. We can get antsy, feeling like there’s something else to do but that’s not always the case. Sometimes, you literally need to wait for the powers that be, or are outside of yourself, to do what they need to do, and it’s not always fun when you don’t know what is going on.
  • Being asked to be patient can be your opportunity to rest and if you don’t, how can you show up 100% for what’s to come?
  • Realization and clarity come with patience. You learn things about yourself, those around you, and about things, you may or may not have been aware of before. Sometimes being asked to wait is just a moment to take a step back and gain a higher and better perspective of your environment. I’ve gotten many lessons and downloads this week just from being able to be patient and take things in stride. Have you visited our Affirmations Wheel on the site? That came from being patient. Although everything isn’t where I want it to be just yet, I was able to feel more like myself this week, meditate more, and tap into where I want to be. This week brought peace, clarity, strength, and insight into where I am, where I want to go, and what to expect in life.
  • When you’re patient, you learn to sit and listen. This allows you to hear the loud voice within. Yes, I’m talking about intuition, angels, ancestors, God, Jesus, etc. Society has the majority believing that the way to a happy life is through being materialistic, but that is not the case. When you sit and listen, like really listen, you can hear the cries and advice that come from within. As a people, we don’t do this, so there are literally billions of people, afraid to face themselves, living in ways that will never make them truly happy. Patience tells you to sit down, deal with your internal shit, heal, and prepare for where you are heading.
  • Patience helps us tap into who we truly are. When focused and truly invested, we start to realize the voices that we should and shouldn’t listen to and that can make all the difference. Over the years, I’ve experienced following the advice of others versus myself and I must admit, I love to listen to me more. I say that in the least conceited way possible. Think about it like this: No one can read your mind and know what makes you genuinely happy in every way without doubt. If you take the time to learn these things about yourself and you are the only one who knows them, how can you expect others to make you feel that way without telling them? Either you guide them or you’re miserable, but we can’t read minds, so you must decide which route you want to take.
  • It can help you discover or tap into your power. This week, I realized how smart and dedicated I am, and I’m very proud. I know that anything is possible, and because of this, I will make every effort worth it and attract feasible opportunities. Life can and will beat us up but if we take a pause (ehhemm, if we’re patient), we may realize that we were running low on energy, recharge, and come back stronger than ever.

Facts about Patience

I can continue to drop the lessons I’ve learned this week or realize as I type this blog, but honestly, if we want to truly be happy, we must patiently learn to seek it within ourselves. Life may not be all you expect it to be at this exact moment, but it will not stay the same, if you believe. You may have been stuck in the same position for decades, heck centuries, but the moment you decide to shake off the dust and reestablish yourself, there’s nothing you can’t do.

Being patient isn’t always fun, especially when it comes to the deadlines we put on ourselves, but it is doable and can be very beneficial. Wherever and whenever time you’re reading this, just know someone is out there, believing in you and what you bring to the world. It may take time to see it come into fruition, but don’t give up. One day, you’ll look back and see how far you have come and remember that by consistency and patience, you were able to accomplish the dream of a lifetime.

I wish you so much success on your journey!
